About
Studio Lovisa Heinius is founded by designer and artisan Lovisa Heinius, who creates decorative objects from textiles, paper, metal and wood. Each work of art is handcrafted in her small studio in Gröndal, Stockholm.
Lovisa collects and explores unique finds, recycled materials and scraps, transforming them into new creations. She experiments with proportions, textures, light and colors where her floating art objects strive for balance and harmony.
Studio Lovisa Heinius textile creations can be installed like room ornaments or as more functional interior solutions for both homes and public spaces. They are crafted using a traditional Korean patchwork technique, called pojagi, where remnants and smaller pieces of fabric are stitched together into a larger artwork. The seams are cleverly hidden within the stitching, making the front and back identical.
